Caricatures suit the whole family, and every guest leaves holding their drawing. Our caricature artists come from Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags and Universal Studios. Big events like city festivals and stadiums usually book several artists to keep the line moving.
How long should I book?
Caricatures are unique in that what our artists can accomplish varies depending on the complexity of the design. You are welcome to mix and match from the options below. We suggest reserving color drawings for the event honoree, to allow more drawings to be done per hour.
- (B&W) Face Only — 3–4 minutes per face
- (B&W) Face + Body — 5–7 minutes per face
- (Color) Face Only — 5–7 minutes per face
- (Color) Face + Body + themed background — 10–15 minutes per face
If you’d like to limit your guests to a specific type of drawing, please tell your artist at the start of your party so they’re clear on their limitations. Plastic sleeves are included free. You can add time in
30-minute increments, so you only pay for the time you actually need.
Every drawing is different — one guest picks a full-color themed piece while the next wants a quick sketch, and people wander off mid-line. We’d rather show you the timings above than promise a number we can’t keep.

FAQs
Can you match my theme?
In most cases yes, depending on the service. Add your theme to the booking/inquiry form so we can note it for your artist.
Do I have to book a full hour?
There’s a one-hour minimum per artist and per service. After that you can add time in small increments.
Is set-up time charged?
Never. Set-up takes under five minutes and it’s on us, so the time you hire is your time.
Are there travel fees?
Sometimes — usually $25–$35+ per artist, depending on artist availability in your area. We’ll always tell you before you book.

Cartoon versions of you and your guests. A well-lit space is necessary for the likeness of the drawings — drawing in the dark is as hard as it sounds.
Timing
- The averages assume guests are seated and ready. All averages cover the drawing time, pen-to-paper only. If your guests are not seated in a timely manner, your booked time may get eaten up. Our artists will do their best to regulate this, but they’re usually focused on drawing so they can apply their time as efficiently as possible.
- All color drawings must be started no later than 20 minutes before your end time.
- 4 or 5 faces fit on each 11×17 sheet, but the averages above are per face, not per sheet.
- If you’d like to limit guests to one style, tell your artist at the start of the party so they’re clear on their limitations.
Running over
- If you would like to extend, please confirm with your artist first, as they may have other events to attend following yours. If they can stay, they will confirm pricing with you before the extended time begins.
- Extension pricing is based on the a la carte hourly rates posted on our website per service (you are welcome to extend per 15 minutes or half hour). Extensions must be paid in cash, Venmo or Zelle to the artists unless agreed to otherwise before your event.
- You’ll be charged for any extra time the artist works past their set end time. All time the artist is working is service being rendered.
- Artists aren’t responsible for drawing everyone who is or has been waiting in line.
- If you’d rather not extend, please help regulate guests near the end. We don’t like being the bad guys — your artist will have worked tirelessly to make every second count.
Worth telling your guests
- Artists aren’t responsible for guests being drawn more than once. Some guests come back for a second drawing, or get drawn alone and again with a partner or group, and it’s not easy for an artist to say no.
- These are cartoon versions, not portraits — worth explaining to anyone expecting something realistic. If a guest feels their drawing was unflattering, our artists are happy to redraw them. Please speak to the artist before they leave, or send us the original afterward and we’ll make it right.
Extras — pre-printed paper
Want to save time so more guests get drawn? Add your logo or a message onto the paper ahead of the event, so your artist isn’t writing it out by hand.
- $25 covers up to 2 hours, then a flat $12.50 for every additional hour, however long you book.
- That’s for black & white; color printing runs 3–4 times more.
- Order at least 5 days before your event so there’s time to print — just mention it on the booking/inquiry form.
