What we actually do for you behind a booking, and when going straight to an artist is the better call.

You want someone reliable, you don’t have a free week to go hunting for one, and even if you did, you would be picking a stranger off a search and hoping they turn up, are good with children, and keep the line moving. That is the part we have already done. Every artist on our team is someone we went looking for and vetted ourselves, and the five-star reputation behind us is the one they built, event by event.

An artist who is working your event has a line in front of them and both hands busy, and the only thing they should be thinking about is the design in front of them. They are not going to stop to answer an email, text or call and you would not want them to — it is your booked time getting eaten up while they do. Those are two different jobs with two different priorities, and that is really the whole difference. It is not us over here and the artists over there, though. We are one team with different jobs inside it. Theirs is the day-of services (the designs), ours is the before-and-after services. We are not at anybody’s event, which is exactly why we are reachable — quick quotes, availability checks, and your deposit invoiced so your artist is locked in. A Saturday afternoon question gets a Saturday afternoon answer.
This is the part people tend to assume works the other way round. They are genuinely independent — they choose which events they take, but they are not advertising to the public, and most of them have no wish to. They are professional artists and chasing booking details is not what they want to spend their week doing. The arrangement suits them. So booking through us is not a convenience fee on top of someone you could have called yourself. For most of our roster, they rely on us to find them reliable work.
Artists are people, and people get sick and get flat tires. If you have booked one artist directly and something goes wrong that morning, the two of you are solving it together, that morning. With a roster our size, we start looking the moment we know, and we are looking across sixty-odd artists rather than one person’s contacts. We can’t promise nothing will ever go sideways, but we can promise you are not the one making the phone calls and that something will be worked out.
If you want face painting and balloon twisting, or glitter tattoos alongside caricatures, booking each one yourself means separate quotes, separate communication threads, and separate payments to keep track of. Through us, it is one booking/inquiry form, one quote with your combination discount already worked into it, and one deposit. If none of the listed combinations fit what you want, you can build your own combination package on the form and we will price it for you.
Most clients find out their venue needs a certificate of insurance the same week as the event, and plenty are not sure what is actually being asked for. One client emailed the morning of his event needing auto insurance documents for the artists who were coming. Last weekend another needed liability insurance for the following day and could not tell what her venue wanted, so we walked her through what to ask them for, and the certificate got approved the first time. None of this is about an artist being unwilling. A certificate, a waiver, or a contract that needs signing takes somebody sitting at a computer, and your artist is at an event — ours comes back within a few hours, tops. We carry the business licenses for the whole team under one roof too, and with over 15 years of experience, we know what a venue is going to want before they ask for it.
A purchase order, an ACH transfer, direct deposits, a check, a credit card, Zelle, Venmo — Cities, stadiums, churches, and schools use one of those and not the others, and their finance department does not bend on it. What they don't have time for is to set up a separate purchase order, or a separate transfer, for every artist coming. Through us, it is one vendor, one invoice, and one payment, in whichever form they are able to send it. That is often the whole reason a city or a school district calls an agency to begin with.
Our face painters and balloon twisters finish 20 designs an hour, guaranteed. Glitter tattoos run 15–20 an hour, henna 10–15 tattoos an hour, handprint painting 10–12 an hour, kids fancy nails 8–10 sets an hour including dry time, and wash-away color hair spray 20–25 guests an hour. For caricatures, we offer a guide for detail-conditional timing, pen-to-paper only, so you know what to expect as well. Those numbers are what we hold our artists to so you don't need to worry about kids being left out.
It may be one artist covering more than one service, or several artists each with their own specialty, and we confirm who is coming before your event. That matching is its own job: who can deliver intricate designs with each skill or who has the extra speed for a three hundred-guest event at a school carnival needs. It is also why we quality-check the artists we send, and why the artists wear black with our company’s logo, so you know who belongs to your booking.
If you have a small gathering with time to spare, an artist you already know, love, and trust to show up, book them — that rapport is worth something. The same goes if you have fallen for one particular artist’s style and that specific look is the whole point. Where we earn our keep is team reliability, bigger crowds, several service bookings, and the event where the timing has to hold.
